How this site handles your data

This site is the personal portfolio of Jed Ibekwe, published as The Je'don, and operated from Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria. It is a static site — essays, a description of the companies he builds, and an email address. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to.

What is collected automatically

Server logs, and nothing else. The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which records the ordinary details of every request: your IP address, your browser's user agent string, the path you asked for, and the time you asked for it. Every web server does this — it is what lets one answer you at all, and what makes abuse visible.

Vercel is the only processor involved. Nothing in this site's own code records, stores or transmits anything about you.

Cookies and tracking

There are none. This site sets no cookies, writes nothing to your browser's storage, and runs no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts of any kind. Loading a page here contacts exactly one host — thejedon.com — and no other. Even the typeface is served from this site rather than from Google Fonts, so no third party learns that you visited.

That position is checked rather than assumed. If it ever changes, this page changes in the same release.

If you send an email

There is no contact form. The only way to reach Jed Ibekwe here is the inbox@thejedon.com link, which opens your own email program. If you write, he receives what you send: your email address, your name if you give it, and the contents of your message.

Correspondence is kept while it is being dealt with and for as long as a reply might still be needed, then deleted. There is no mailing list to add you to.

Why this data is held

Server logs rest on a legitimate interest in operating the site, keeping it available and protecting it from abuse. Email rests on a legitimate interest in replying to someone who chose to make contact. Neither is used for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making.

Who it is shared with

Nobody, other than Vercel as the hosting provider. Nothing is sold, rented, traded or passed to advertisers, data brokers or analytics companies. The only exception would be a valid legal requirement to disclose it.

Your rights

The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 has been in force since June 2023 and is enforced by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, whose General Application and Implementation Directive has applied since September 2025. Under the Act you may:

• —Ask what personal data is held about you, and get a copy of it
• —Have anything inaccurate corrected
• —Ask for your data to be erased
• —Object to it being processed
• —Complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission if you think the Act has not been followed

In practice, for almost everyone, the only personal data here is a server log entry and — if you wrote — an email. Both can be found and deleted on request.

If you are outside Nigeria

The site is served from Vercel's global infrastructure, so your request may be handled — and its log entry stored — outside your own country. If your local law gives you rights beyond those above, they are respected too.
